Butz Breaking More Ground

The renaissance of Allentown does not seem to be slowing down despite recent local events. Tuesday July 14th, our own backyard was the site of a ground-breaking ceremony held by Alvin H. Butz, Inc. The parking lot behind the Butz Corporate Center at 840 Hamilton Street will soon be transformed into a 60,000 square foot, eight-story building with class-A office space. This $15 million venture will have seven floors of offices with one floor of parking spaces.

The company, United Fiber and Data, is “a superior alternative for fiber networking and broadband solutions.” Spokeswoman, Selena Sparks informed the crowd that United Fiber and Data will have their headquarters here in Allentown and is pleased to be a part of the growing momentum.

Phase three has already begun. The construction should be completed with the building ready to open next spring. Butz confirms that “we’re moving forward full speed ahead, optimistically about the future of downtown.”
