2021 Lehigh Valley Pride

Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center is proud to host 2021 Lehigh Valley Pride, presented by Gilead Sciences, Inc., which will be held in person! The one-day festival will be held outdoors. Lehigh Valley Pride is a celebration of art, culture, and community! This year’s theme is “You Are Included.”

WHEN: Sunday, August 15 (noon to 6 p.m.)

WHERE: Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley (702 N. 22nd St., Allentown, PA 18104) with entry on Washington Street between 22nd and 23rd streets

COST: $10 (all tickets sold at the door), free for youth up to age 13. Individuals ages 14 to 21 can get a free ticket in advance through our youth program Project Silk Lehigh Valley.

ENTERTAINMENT: A full day of drag and music on stage featuring drag superstars Kylie Sonique Love and Ariel Versace and singer-songwriters Erin McKeown, Crys Matthews and Regina Sayles. Plus, don’t miss the festival kickoff with the Philadelphia Freedom Marching Band! The stage will be be hosted by local drag artists Carol Ann Carol Ann and Sharon Ann Husbands!

ARTIST PROMENADE: Celebrate LGBTQ+ artists and crafters by visiting our artist promenade. New this year: a festival mural by Rae Senarighi. Limited edition signed/numbered prints of the festival mural will also be for sale at Pride Central!

VENDORS: More than 125 artists, non-profits, and retailers including LGBTQ+ affirming churches and synagogues, civil rights and social justice organizations, LGBTQ+ supportive social service agencies, and more!

YOUTH PROGRAMS: Lehigh Valley Pride also includes a full day of programs for youth! Kids Space will feature craft making and Drag Queen Story Time for youth up to age 13. Teen Space will include mural making, silent disco, and more for youth ages 14 to 21.

FOOD AND DRINKS: The Pride Pub features local beer from Fegley’s Brew Works, local mead and cider from The Colony Meadery, hard seltzer from Truly, and a vodka drink from Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Alkaline water from Essentia is also available from the Pride Pub! The Allentown Farmer’s Market food court features a diverse variety of food options for all to enjoy! Cash and credit cards are accepted at the Pride Pub. Most food vendors accept both cash and credit cards. ATMs will be available on site.

HEALTH SERVICES AT PRIDE: Free health services at Lehigh Valley Pride include COVID-19 vaccinations offered by Latino Connection, HIV testing offered by Lehigh Valley Health Network, syphilis testing offered by Allentown Health Bureau, as well as general health screenings offered by Aetna.

ACCESSIBILITY: Live ASL interpretation at the pre-pride faith service and on the festival stage all day; reserved seating at the stage for older adults and people with disabilities; ADA restrooms; large-print programs. Lehigh Valley Pride also includes the MARS Sober Social Space, an area with games and activities for attendees of all ages, where alcohol will not be present.

COVID-19 SAFETY: The entire event is outdoors. All attendees will receive a free pocket-sized bottle of hand sanitizer upon entry. Additional hand sanitizing stations will be present at high-touch areas. Masks will be required for the indoor pre-pride interfaith service. While masks will not be required for the outdoor festival we are strongly encouraging attendees to care for each other by wearing a mask. Masks will be provided free of charge upon entry for those requesting one. We are in frequent communication with the Allentown Health Bureau and are closely monitoring the pandemic. (last updated August 8).
