Queer Poetry Reading Group: Bestiary

The Library at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center invites the community to participate in our NEW Queer Poetry Reading Group! In this group, we will be discussing the works of contemporary queer poets. On August 20, we will discuss Bestiary by Donika Kelly.

About this book, San Francisco Chronicle says “Bestiary asserts the will to survive and the power of reinvention.” Bestiary was long-listed for the 2016 National Book Award for Poetry.

The Queer Poetry Reading Group is facilitated by Jimmy Hamill, Ph.D candidate at Lehigh University.

Free books are available for the first ten people to sign up. Sign up by emailing sharon@bradburysullivancenter.org

If you don’t need a free copy of the book, let Sharon know when you sign up. This program will most likely occur by zoom and advance registration is required. RSVP by August 18 in order to receive the zoom link.

If you don’t need a free copy of the book but are purchasing your own copy, you can do so here, with a percentage of the purchase automatically donated back to Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center.

This project is sponsored in part by the Lehigh Valley Engaged Humanities Consortium, with generous support provided by a grant to Lafayette College from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

The event is finished.
