Queer Poetry Reading Group: Useless Landscape

The Library at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center invites the community to participate in our NEW Queer Poetry Reading Group! In this group, we will be discussing the works of contemporary queer poets. On June 11, we will discuss Useless Landscape or A Guide for Boys by D.A. Powell.

About this book, Vanity Fair says “With his typical wry eroticism, an eagle eye for the places where men converge, and a compass that points always to desire, poet D. A. Powell leads us on a tour . . . from gay bars to bathhouses and into the backwoods.” Useless Landscape or A Guide for Boys is Powell’s fifth book of poetry. This book was the winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award in Poetry and he lives in San Francisco.

The Queer Poetry Reading Group is facilitated by Jimmy Hamill, PhD candidate at Lehigh University.

Free books are available for the first ten people to sign up. Sign up by emailing sharon@bradburysullivancenter.org
