The Downtown Allentown Business Alliance in partnership with the Allentown Chamber of Commerce and the City of Allentown is honored to present the 16th Annual Blues, Brews & Barbecue Festival on Saturday, June 22nd from 12 noon until 10 p.m. in Downtown Allentown. Get ready to rock the streets in the heart of Downtown as this year’s festival lineup will stand to impress Blue’s lovers and music aficionados alike!
The internationally acclaimed blues superstar, Nikki Hill, heads this year's festival. North Carolina born and raised; Nikki began her musical career singing gospel in the church choir from childhood through her early teens. While growing up along the Mississippi River from St. Louis to New Orleans and Memphis Tennessee, she developed her unique style ranging from garage rock n’ roll, blues, and roots. Her explosively energetic stage performance with her distinct sound, sent her on a worldwide tour that included over 30 festivals and made her a sought-after blues sensation. Prepare to be blown away by Nikki's electrifying stage presence and talent!
Opening for Nikki Hill is the multi-award winning and critically raved, Ghost Town Blues Band. Their newest album SHINE debuted at #1 Blues Album on Billboard. Headlining festivals such as The Montreal Jazz Festival, Ghost Town Blues captivate audiences with their "second-line horn entrance," cigar box guitars, and electric push brooms. Their innovative performance has been coined “best new live blues show in the world”, and they're guaranteed to keep you dancing all night long!
